On Tuesday morning I had John Cheney, Carol and Harriet join me on The Breakfast Show.
John and his friend Martyn have been writing songs together for 6 years and their latest composition has been performed and recorded by The Oaks Primary School Choir. Any money made from the single will be donated to the Make a Wish Foundation.
The choir, made up of twenty four 6-11 year olds all gathered together to record the single entitled, “I Can’t Wait For Christmas!” and I’m sure you’ve already guessed from the title, it’s a Christmas song!
Harriet (9) is one of the lead singers on the song and even sings the opening line. On the show we talked about the work that went into creating and recording the track as well as Harriet’s thoughts on the process. I asked her about her feeling towards fame and whether she’d like to be famous, to which her response was “I do but… money’s better” She was of course talking about money for the charity, not her own pocket… I think.

There’s a launch event for the single on 30th November at Thomas Bennet Community College and the doors open at 18.30.
It’s free to attend so make sure you get yourself down there as we want this to raise as much money as possible! At the launch party we’ll see the stars of the song enter on the red carpet, a live performance on the song (which will be streamed live on Runway Radio) and we’ll also get to see the music video for the first time.
The song is also available on the 30th Nov and will be available to download from iTunes and Amazon. Hard copies will also be available to buy from selected stores in and around Crawley, so make sure you pick up your copy.
To hear more about the music video, the song and the launch party check out the full interview below.
